Welcome to Sunrise!
At Sunrise, we commit ourselves to provide your child with a safe, comfortable, happy home-away-from home setting in which your child will grow to be a loving, caring, competent, responsible, and adaptive citizen who is a lifelong learner and problem solver. Our focus is on the importance of developmental-appropriate activities that help your child build feelings of success, develop school competence and reach higher levels of learning. We value your child’s creativity and favor teaching that encourages problem solving and fosters inquiry learning.
Therefore, at Sunrise we pledge ourselves to: * Be consistently responsive to each child’s needs. * Provide a balance of structure and flexibility in daily schedule. * Offer your child large doses of love, care and understanding in an atmosphere that emphasizes active learning and learning through play. * Promoting children’s natural awareness by providing a large play yard and garden to plant.
Furthermore, we believe the family is an integral part of the individuals total development, and encourage you to share your child’s early experiences by participating in daily activities when possible. Our staff values feedback and would like to meet with you regularly through activities such as PTA meetings, pot luck dinners and family fun nights!! |
