Sunrise Children Learning Center

SPANISH PROGRAM

Teaching with a multicultural perspective encourages appreciation and understanding of other cultures as well as one's own. Our Spanish program promotes the child's sense of the uniqueness of his own culture as a positive characteristic and enables the child to accept the uniqueness of the cultures of others.

Music is an important ingredient in Early Childhood.  Even in the womb, infants hear music.  As newborns and older infants, they are affected by music.  Depending on the mood, the situation, or time of day, music will affect the child.  They may respond by making soft coos, swinging their arms moving their bodies, or falling off to sleep.  Toddlers generate their own music babble.  They will sing parts of songs and create their own music by coming up with one or two note songs.  Preschoolers take it to the next step.  They love to sing, dance and play musical instruments.  They are able to sing entire songs and even create their own songs.  They associate music with situations that are going on in their lives.
